Established in 1987, we have over 30 years’ experience offering excellent customer service, advice and treatments for your pets. Our state of the art premises incorporates the latest hospital design and equipment. We believe our animals deserve the best facilities and equipment, with separate recovery wards. Upstairs we have two dedicated operating suites, a separate recovery ward, a separate cat ward and rodent ward.

We also have an x-ray room with the latest digital x-ray and hospital-grade ultrasound. Downstairs, we have a separate dog ward, as well as our waiting room, reception and three consulting suites.

Based in Surrey Hills, Victoria, we aim to create a warm and friendly environment and we love having our patients and their owners drop in to say ‘hi’, have a weigh in, pick up a treat or ask any question they might have.

Dr Lynda Bonning

BVSc (Hons) GDVET

Lynda has over 30 years’ experience treating, dogs, cats and exotics. Referral/professional interest practitioner in ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats & mice. Lynda has also completed further studies in dermatology.

Lynda has owned The Canterbury Veterinary Clinic & Hospital since 1987.

Dr Hannah Sherry

BVSc (Hons) BSc

Dr Hannah Sherry, has over 10 years’ experience as a small animal and emergency Veterinarian. Prior to qualifying as a Veterinarian, Dr Hannah has worked for 10 years as a Veterinary Nurse. Dr Hannah is a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Behavioural medicine, which is her special interest.

Dr Anne-Katrin Oatley

BVSc MVS

Anne-Katrin (“Ana”) has over 20 years of experience as a small animal practitioner. She has a particular interest in dentistry, surgery and diagnostic imaging and she gained experience with exotics whilst working in England in 2010.

Dr Sanjana Aswani

Dr Sanjana Aswani graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2018 and is an experienced small animal veterinarian with a special interest in clinical pathology, ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry.

Dr Lydia Choo

Dr Lydia Choo graduated from Murdoch University and is an experienced small animal veterinarian. Dr Lydia is also fluent in Mandarin.

Dr Rajiv Poorun

Dr Raj completed his Veterinary degree at James Cook University in 2019. Dr Raj has been working at an outer suburban small animal hospital and emergency centre. Dr Raj has a professional interest in ultrasonography and endoscopy.

Dr Rithvik Suresh

Dr Rithvik completed his Veterinary degree from Melbourne University in 2021. Dr Rithvik is an experienced small & large animal veterinarian. Dr Ritvik has a professional interest in cytology and surgery. Dr Rithvik can also understand Tamal.

Dr Anaban Ghosh

BVSc (Hons) Postgraduate Certificate in Surgery MANZCVS (Surgery) MANZCVS (Emergency & Critical Care)

Anaban has worked at The Canterbury Veterinary Clinic & Hospital for over 10 years as a referral/ professional interest practitioner in orthopaedic surgery.
